Video for Today You Become Man

I created and filmed this music video in my family’s hometown, deep in the mountains of Algeria. The subject matter is personal, exploring the fragility of outdated traditions and the impact they still have on people today. To approach something so heavy, I turned to satire — reimagining Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. For me, humour and irony can open the door to difficult conversations, making them more accessible both for myself and for the viewer.

Shot entirely on my phone, the piece also reflects my belief that creativity isn’t about resources but about perspective — finding ways to tell a story with whatever tools you have at hand.
